Natural Fertilizers: Production Best Tasting?
Although there is no scientific evidence that the use of organic fertilizers will produce better tasting products, most organic gardeners disagree. One might agree with the notion that we are ingesting too many chemicals in our food, limited use of chemical fertilizers can produce better tasting and higher quality products. The use of organic fertilizer to replace chemical fertilizers is one of the most common fertilizer for crops. Other alternatives include the use of vegetable origin, such as compost tea. The use of organic matter also replenish the soil by increasing organic content.
Eliminate pests in your garden naturally
Organic gardeners use pesticides due to concern over pesticide residues in food, ground water and soil. Many reports have linked to many health problems to exposure to pesticides, which many consumers and producers to produce grown organically.
So how do we fight a natural garden pest? First is healthy organic soil, producing healthy plants that can fight against pests in the garden on their own.
Other organic products for pest control are based on plant extracts, such as oranges and lemons. D-limonene, which is the active ingredient in citrus oils, kills many flying and crawling insects on contact. Destroying the insect’s respiratory system, basically an insect suffocation.
Another use of organic pesticides made from the Neem tree. Neem oil that is produced by pressing the seed oil of neem, not directly kill the pests feed, but that deters insects feed on plants that are covered, in essence, the hungry pests to death . Neem oil can be used on vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants. Another beneficial aspect of the use of Neem oil is not toxic to birds, mammals, ladybugs, spiders and bees.
As you can see there are many options for organic gardeners to grow and protect their products without the use of artificial chemicals. There are many organic compounds occurring in nature that are effective natural repellent to pests and others that are beneficial to organic growth of the garden.
